RIDE TECH SHOCK SERVICE ACT, Fox, Ryde FX, HPG, Walker Evans Please include Ride Tech Shock Service Form when sending your shocks. This form can be downloaded from the RH column on this page. *ALL shocks need regular service to give top performance. *Over 36 years of combined shock experience guarantee quality service. *Heat and condensation cause oil breakdown in all brands of shocks. *Maintain your ride characteristics with regular shock service. *Extend shock life with a service maintenance program. *Most important, eliminate backaches and stress on your body. Basic Service Includes: *Complete drain and flush of shock *Internals inspected for damage or wear *Re-assemble to OEM specifications *Custom synthetic oil *Nitrogen charge *Parts and replacement is extra with only worn parts replaced *Seals are not replaced unless leaking or shaft is damaged 10% discount on service with a set of 4 shocks Standard Shock: $38Remote Reservoir or Air Shock: $40 Reservoir/Clicker or Position Sensitive: $45 Seal/shaft replacement or revalve: $20 Quick Adjust Front Track (Cat): $60 Cat Cross Link Rear: $125 Polaris PPS upgrade mod: $95 See Ride Tech Stage Kits for complete suspension packages!
Recommended Shock Service Intervals: ALL shocks are plagued by sludge from condensation, moisture seeping by the seals, contamination from internal friction, and oil breakdown. An initial oil change is the most important to flush out the break-in oil and metal shavings. *Initial or first time service by 1,000 miles, then follow regular schedule. *Basic service yearly or every 1,500-2,000 miles. Average trail riders should follow these guidelines while easy cruisers may extend service intervals. High performance and aggressive riders need annual service. Regular service gives consistent handling, extends shock life, prevents suspension wear, and soaks up the trail for a smooth, enjoyable ride.
RIDE TECH Suspension Stage Kits Kits include shock service, re-valving, and parts for a complete suspension package! *Stage kits that match suspension to rider's weight and style. *All 4 shocks receive basic shock service. *Re-valving mods match shocks to selected spring rates. *Model tested so each kit may not include the same parts. *Stage 2, Plus, and 3 include complete set-up instructions. *Kits are average base priced and may vary slightly with model/year. NOTE: Some riders may only want the front or rear upgraded. We can put together a suspension package to fit your needs with with custom valving requests. RIDE Tech Stage 1: Basic shock service with re-valve mods for riders who are looking for a small adjustment in ride performance. Valving can be firmer or softer depending upon rider's style, weight, and model of sled. Great for fine tuning the suspension but may need springs to prevent premature shock failure. RIDE Tech Stage 2: Our most popular and recommended trail kit for better overall handling from front to rear. Includes basic shock service with re-valving mods to all 4 shocks, and required parts (springs/couplers/shafts/blocks/etc.). Improved front end control with more progressive shock action, sharper cornering, and less ski lift. The rear suspension is smoother in the ripples, takes the harshness out of the washboard, and can still resist bottoming in the big hits. Riders over 230 pounds may need Stage 2 Plus. RIDE Tech Stage 2 PLUS: A boost to Stage 2 with firmer settings for more aggressive and/or heavier riders. Kits includes the same as Stage 2 but with heavier springs and valving mods to better match these types of riders. PLUS gives a firmer and more progressive ride without getting into race mod Stage 3. RIDE Tech Stage 3: This package is for the hardcore riders who attack the roughest terrain or tip the weight scale to the high side. Stage 3 will sacrifice some low speed ride comfort but offers the most resistance to bottoming in the big crunchers. Kit includes Stage 2 Plus with extra valving mods and parts to stiffen up the suspension action. Variations of this kit are used by Sno Cross riders for big air, Cross Country racers who need high speed bump control, and for Big Guys who just need a stiffer suspension. Stage 1 Stage 2 Stage 2+ Stage 3 Arctic Cat $240 $385 $425 $490 Polaris $240 $399 $445 $499 Ski-doo $240 $385 $425 $490 Yamaha $160 set of ski Fox Floaters
CFR Cat and Polaris Rush: We have Stage 2 kits for these models! The 09-11 Cat CFR is way too harsh in the smaller bumps and the front end lacks a progressive feel. New ski valving eliminates some ski lift and gives better steering. The rear gets extremely different valving for a much better feel in most trail conditions (we will need your stock rear springs with this kit).Sled now can be railed through the corners and the rear end doesn't try to shorten your spine. The 10-11 Rush has the normal push of a Polaris and the IQ front end needs some spring/revalving work to improve handling and steering. The rear end dances too much in smaller stuff and bottoms excessively hard in big G-out hits. A new rear spring, revalving, and some internal shock mods make the back end a lot more progressive. It now rolls through the stutter bumps, eliminates the harshness of medium hits, and stays true through high speed big whoops.
